Rajavtar Kaur is my spiritual name.
"Rajavtar" means embodiment of Grace and Nobility.
"Kaur" is given to every woman and stands for Lioness of God as "Singh" is given for every man and means Lion of God.
This name comes from Gurmukhi, the language of Sikhs, as Yoga Bhajan, who revealed Kundalini Yoga to the world was a Sikh and hence, Kundalini Yoga is connected with their culture.
It was offered to me by the Kundalini Yoga Sangat (international spiritual community) so I can guide others towards their inner wisdom and their unlimited potential.
Born in 1984 in South Korea, I was abandoned at a young age by my Korean parents.
Sent to France, I was adopted by my French parents and I grew up surrounded by nature and love.
I discovered piano and I fell in love with this instrument.
When I was a teenager, I studied with passion at Maurice Ravel National Music Academy in Biarritz and graduated.
Then, I followed academic studies and an international career in industrial firms.
I had an exciting and excessive social and party life where I pushed my limits and developed addictive behaviours and put myself in danger.
In 2008, I went back to live in South Korea and met with my Korean parents.
Far from giving me peace, this meeting brought chaos to my life and only recently after a powerful constellation family workshop, I have the impression to have reached a state of reconciliation and integration.
In 2014, I started to live in London as an expat and during my first Kundalini Yoga session, I cried of relief and joy with the conviction to have found my way home, towards my heart. Soon after, I started my training as Aquarian Teacher with Simrit Kaur and Shiv Charan Singh in particular, from Karam Kriya school, Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) certified, during retreats in Spain, Germany and United Kingdom which have changed my life.
In London, I also reconnected with the piano thanks to the effervescent and creative energy of this unique city.
In 2017, I was victim of a serious car accident in Middle East, from which I survived and avoided tetraplegia by miracle and thanks to several spine surgeries in particular. During my recovery, the adaptation to my disability and the long fight for the recognition of my rights, I started to paint intensively.
In 2018, back to Paris, I created Rajavtar non-profitable organisation and have run its activities related to yoga, art and music.
Early 2019, I exposed a series of watercolour on the topic of my accident and recovery.
End of 2019, I opened Rajavtar Studio in the neighbourhood of Epinettes, Paris 17.
En 2020, I enrol to the coaching certification process.
Through those experiences and the daily practice of yoga, art and piano, I have developed an equation to cultivate a life free from addictions and in harmony with my soul.
I am happy to guide you on your path of life and your personal practice of Kundalini Yoga and Piano, wherever you are and wherever you want to go.
